WHY CHESS

Losing is part of the plan

Chess practice at Kingston Junior Chess teaches young players to slow down, think ahead, and own their decisions, both on and off the board.

Think before moving

Every game builds the habit of pausing, weighing options, and choosing deliberately.

Learn to lose well

We treat every defeat as a lesson, so setbacks become stepping stones, not stingers.
